A permanent representation of the traditional Gelugpa food torma (ritual cake) which is part of the peaceful sensory offerings. Known as zhelzey in Tibetan, the body of each torma is handmade by monks from a blend of medicinal herbs. The removable torma ornaments (kargyen) are made from silver-plated copper and accented with faux turquoise and coral.
