About Vajrasattva

Vajrasattva represents the purity of body, speech and mind of all the Buddhas. He is highly effective for purifying negative karmic imprints created by the ten non-virtuous actions and transgressions of precepts, vows and commitments. When our negative karma is purified, many of our wishes will arise spontaneously with much fewer obstacles, and we will experience harmony, peace and happiness within our minds.

He is relied on heavily by all schools of Tibetan Buddhism, especially in relations to Ngondro or the preliminary practices to receiving advanced teachings on Tantra. In essence, when coupled with sincere regret and positive determination (the Four Opponent Powers), Vajrasattva's practice can cut the root of the vicious cycle of getting and giving pain.
